1. How do I care for silver-plated products from Ornate Stores?

To maintain their brilliance:

  • Gently wipe with a soft dry cloth after use

  • Avoid direct contact with water, perfumes, or acidic substances

  • Store in a cool, dry place—preferably in the original box or a soft pouch

  • Do not scrub with abrasive cleaners or steel wool


2. Can I use silver polish on your products?

We recommend using a mild, non-abrasive silver polishing cloth specifically designed for plated items. Avoid liquid polishes or harsh chemicals, as they may damage the plating.


3. How do I clean intricate or carved areas?

Use a soft-bristled brush (like a toothbrush) to remove dust from carved or embossed areas. Avoid wet cleaning unless absolutely necessary—and dry immediately with a lint-free cloth.


4. What if the silver plating starts to fade or tarnish over time?

Silver-plated items may develop patina or slight tarnishing due to exposure. You can:

  • Gently polish with a dry silver cloth

  • Reach out to us for professional re-polishing or restoration services

We offer a paid re-plating and restoration service for select products.


5. Do you offer product repair services?

Yes, for eligible products, we offer:

  • Re-plating of silver coating

  • Repair of minor dents or alignment issues

  • Restoration of broken components (subject to availability of parts)

6. How long does repair or restoration take?

Depending on the issue, repairs take 7 to 21 business days after we receive the item. We’ll update you with timelines during service confirmation.


7. Is repair service chargeable?

Yes. Repair and restoration services are chargeable based on the nature and extent of damage. Shipping charges (to and from our warehouse) may also apply.

9. What products are not eligible for repair?

We cannot service:

  • Items with extensive physical damage or corrosion

  • Products altered by third parties

  • Limited edition or discontinued pieces where components are no longer available


10. Do you offer warranties on your products?

While we do not offer formal warranties, Ornate Stores ensures the highest quality standards. We evaluate repair or replacement on a case-by-case basis if a product issue arises within 30 days of purchase.
